Welcome

The Forell Ranch is located along the historic Butterfield Trail where the Big Country region of West Texas unfolds into the Concho Valley. The landscape is a mosaic of rolling hills and rocky breaks, and native prairie grass pastures, mesquite and live oak, prickly pear and yucca. In 2009, the ranch was awarded the Outstanding Conservation Rancher of the Year for excellent range management by Clear Fork Conservation District. Over the past two decades, the Forell Ranch has produced some great breeding stock and performance horses focused on Joe Hancock/Blue Valentine & Driftwood bloodlines. Forell-bred horses have ended up coast to coast and Europe.

Learn More About Our Horses

In addition to champion horses, Forell Ranch is home to Baru’s Silver. Baru Forell began her silversmith journey in 2006. Some of her favorite creations are scarf slides, headstall silver, cuff bracelets, and buckles. Baru’s Silver is a majority custom orders and she prefers creating classic heirloom quality pieces that will not go out of style. A high percentage of her work includes a ranch brand. Most recently, Baru has begun making Vaquero-style bits. Like her horses, Baru’s Silver has gone coast-to-coast, border-to-border, Australia and Europe.
